Welcome!

Meet the author

My name is Hannah Ngozi Chukwu (nee Umeh). I’m the author of Just for Mercy.

My goal with this blog is to have a standard platform to share ideas that I call the Ripples of my Mind. I call myself an incurable optimist with a good sense of humor! I see connections among people in different situations, even in their diverse aspirations. The connections we share as humans, help me to tell good stories that refresh the mind. My faith keeps me always upbeat and optimistic. You shall never find a dull moment here!

Just for mercy

Keziah lost her husband when she was pregnant with their second son. A workaholic and strong, independent leader whose religion is her work, she finds herself at the local stream at an unholy hour of the night.

She survives a raging wave, and this close call leads her to redefine her values. Caroline and her husband Onyema were once successful business tycoons, but they went bankrupt and returned to their hometown.

courage, change, and faith

We are a diverse group of women who immigrated from Africa, the Caribbean, and USA and now live, work, and play in Saskatchewan and Alberta. These Black Women, through the realism of their narratives, reconstruct the archetype to present a resemblance to the broken, the hurting, the voiceless, and the underdog, who, despite all odds, evolve into forces that blaze the trails for others.
